In the USA, on our family farm in Idaho, real ostrich eggs are laid, blown out, sterilized, and drilled with an 11/16" hole on one end. HANDLED WITH CARE - Our premium eggshells are meticulously handled, drilled, blown out, cleansed, sterilized, and carefully stored to ensure the highest quality. Each shell undergoes a thorough inspection for quality before being shipped, and is then packaged in eco-friendly materials to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

SIZING - Ostrich eggshells come in various sizes, depending on the hen's age and other factors. We categorize them as follows: Large: Up to 13-14" circumference and 4.5"-5.5" long | Extra Large: 14-16" circumference and 5.5"-6.5" long | Jumbo: Over 15" circumference and over 6.5" long.

FINISH - Each eggshell is unique, influenced by the hen's genetics, physiology, and diet. A natural sheen produces a smooth, almost iridescent finish, while matte shells are more white in color and have a slightly chalky feel. Scarred eggs have varying degrees of ridges in their surface, and "imperfect" shells have irregularities such as discoloration, an off-center drillhole, epoxy patch, or pencil marking.
